The First Thanksgiving and First Orthodox Rabbi Born and Bred In the USA’s Sermon

I would write all day about this fascinating Rabbi; however, the legitimacy given to his Orthodoxy by being featured in the Jewish Observer can not be understated, so I leave it to them to pay tribute to this great man.

Below is his sermon, followed by an image of his signature. In addition, as still practiced today in his synagogue, the Shartis Yisrael Synoguge in Manhattan, there is a recital of Psalm, an abridged version of “Hallel,” as well as a prayer for the country.
